After delivering the money, a distraught Walt visits a bar where he unknowingly sits next to Jane's father, Donald Margolis. They discuss the difficulty of dealing with "family" (Walt referring to Jesse as a nephew). Donald’s advice—to never give up on family —motivates Walt to return to Jesse's apartment to try and help him one more time. The Climax: Jane's Death

Jesse and Jane have spiraled into heroin addiction. Walt refuses to give Jesse his $480,000 share until he is clean, viewing the money as a "death sentence" for Jesse in his current state.
