A heavy downpour turns a small pebble path into a rushing river. A leaf carrying several helpless ladybug larvae is knocked into the current.
The sun comes out. The larvae are returned to their mother, and the forest creatures realize that while they are small, their courage—and Ferdy’s quick thinking—is giant. Sample Dialogue Fragment
Episode Title: Ferdy, la Fourmi – Épisode 01 : Le Sauvetage périlleux
Ferdy hitches a ride on a friendly dragonfly to get close to the leaf. He must time his jump perfectly to reach the larvae. As the leaf nears the edge of the drain, Ferdy uses his strength to anchor the silk to a protruding root, swinging the leaf to safety just in time.
Optimistic, wearing his iconic red scarf (or bow tie), and always ready with a clever invention. Motivation: Protecting those who cannot protect themselves.
"Ferdy, it’s too dangerous! The water is moving faster than a grasshopper’s jump!"
The episode opens with Ferdy helping his friends, like Gwendoline the Ladybug and his pal the Beetle, gather food. The atmosphere is bright, but the air is humid. Ferdy notices the ants’ antennae twitching—a sign of rain.
