Under the (PNSH) program, KIMs (Control and Measurement Materials) are sets of tests and assessments used to evaluate a 4th grader's mastery of the mathematics curriculum.
Most KIMs are divided into three levels of difficulty to better assess student progress: Multiple-choice questions testing basic knowledge.
Short-answer questions requiring a calculated result.
Understanding numbers up to 1,000,000 and working with units of time, length, and weight. Geometry: Calculating the perimeter ( ) and area ( ) of shapes, and understanding symmetry. Sample Structure of a 4th Grade KIM
Tasks involving motion (speed, time, distance), cost (price, quantity, total), and comparisons (difference and ratio).
Multiplication and division of multi-digit numbers, including long division by single and double digits.
