Gorshok didn't just sing the role; he lived it. He underwent intensive acting training to play Todd on stage. The production premiered in 2012 at the "Forum" in Moscow.
The story, split into two acts— (2011) and "On the Edge" (2012)—follows Sweeney Todd, a barber who returns to London after years of wrongful exile. He finds his life destroyed by a corrupt Judge.
