The Nightshine In [chapter 2] — Let

The night air was alive with the sweet scent of blooming jasmine as Lena stepped out of her small cottage and into the silver glow of the full moon. She breathed deeply, feeling the gentle breeze carry the whispers of the forest on its breath. The trees, tall and sentinel, stood watch over the sleeping village, their leaves rustling softly in the wind.

Lena's gaze drifted upward, to the moon now riding high in the midnight sky. Its light was intoxicating, drawing her in with an otherworldly allure.
