The season ends on a bittersweet note. While Rudeus suffers the profound loss of his father and discovers that Zenith has been found in a catatonic state, he also finds solace in his growing family. He returns home to find that Sylphiette has given birth to their daughter, Lucie, and he eventually takes Roxy Migurdia as his second wife with Sylphie's consent.

After being abandoned by Eris, a devastated Rudeus travels to the northern lands to search for his mother, Zenith. During this time:

: Rudeus reunites with his childhood friend Sylphiette, who is disguised as a male bodyguard named "Fitz." After a long period of mutual discovery, Rudeus realizes her true identity, and the two eventually marry.

: His trauma from Eris leaving him manifests physically as erectile dysfunction (ED), a central personal conflict he struggles to resolve throughout the first half of the season.

The latter half of the season focuses on Rudeus’s growth at the academy and the rebuilding of his family.

The second season of follows Rudeus Greyrat as he transitions from a heartbroken, depressed teenager into a mature adult, student, and family man. Adapting volumes seven through twelve of the light novel series, the story is split into two major halves: Rudeus's time as a wandering adventurer and his life at the Ranoa University of Magic.
