Collecting too many speed-ups can make precise dodging harder, especially on higher difficulties where the game naturally runs faster. Often, a single speed-up is enough to finish the game.

The game features three main branching paths that lead to different endings. These are determined by which orb you collect from a unique enemy near the end of : Pink Orb: Leads to Stage 6.0 and then 7.0. Orange Orb: Leads to Stage 6.1 and then 7.1. R-Type Final 2

Leads to Stage 6.2 and then 7.2 (this is also the default if you collect nothing). Difficulty Unlocks: R-TYPER 2: Clear any Stage 7 on R-TYPER difficulty. R-TYPER 3: Clear any Stage 7 on R-TYPER 2 difficulty. Collecting too many speed-ups can make precise dodging

Quickly transfer your Force from front to back by ejecting it into a wall or barrier immediately in front of you, then recalling it as you flip your ship. These are determined by which orb you collect

If you die at a checkpoint, the game becomes a "recovery" challenge. Some sections are designed to be beatable even with a weak ship if you use specific patterns or "safe pockets" in the environment. Branching Paths & Secret Unlocks
