follows two investigators of "paranormal" phenomena (played by Sigourney Weaver and Cillian Murphy) as they attempt to debunk a legendary blind psychic (Robert De Niro) who comes out of retirement.
It’s a movie that looks like a 9/10 in this format. If you enjoy movies like The Prestige or Primal Fear , this is definitely worth the watch—just be prepared for a conclusion that might leave you scratching your head.
The atmosphere is tense, and the first two-thirds of the movie are incredibly gripping. The cast is powerhouse—watching Murphy and Weaver play off each other is a treat.
This is the real winner here. Even though the movie has a very muted, clinical color palette (lots of greys, shadows, and dim labs), the 10bit depth helps eliminate "banding" in those dark scenes. The shadows look smooth rather than pixelated.
