Arthur "Art" (Nick Blood) returns to his Brooklyn home with his pregnant, non-Jewish wife, Claire (Emily Wiseman), seeking to reconcile with his father, Saul (Allan Corduner), who runs a Jewish funeral home. Art’s hidden motive is to convince his father to mortgage the business to save his failing real estate venture.

The horror begins when the body of Yosille, an old man who died while attempting a dark ritual to resurrect his wife, is brought to the morgue. Art accidentally breaks an amulet containing the demon , a "taker of children" from Jewish folklore, which then begins to terrorize the family and target the unborn child.
