Elias ripped the headset off, but the voice remained, vibrating in the air of his room. He looked at his bedroom floor. It was no longer carpet. It was covered in soft, dry saw-grass. The walls were fading into a misty, watercolor treeline.

The screen went black, leaving only the soft sound of wings beating in the dark of a room that was no longer there.
